Em hotep,
2 Central principles of Atenism are to Love God and to Do No Harm. Compassionate living extends into many areas: How we think, how we speak, and how we act. The treatment of all life and being compassionate in our approach to life is important for an Atenist.
With this in mind, the taking of life for the purposes of consumption. While it is not a state that is mandatory for Atenists, is a highly recommended ideal. There are people who do have special exceptions either due to health or poverty that require for them to consume meat but beyond this, living a vegetarian lifestyle is a goal all Atenists should be striving to live.
Compassion at all levels.
May Aten bless you.
